Kayla and Skip held their beautiful ceremony at The Basilica of Saint Peter, right here in Columbia. We talk a lot about all the beautiful places we get to visit, and I don’t think we’ll ever get tired of weddings at St. Peter’s. The stunning stained glass windows above the altar illuminate the beautifully detailed floor and immaculate marble at the end of the aisle. Such a perfect backdrop for the beginning of a new life together! And Kayla and Skip – they say the bride is always glowing on her wedding day, and that was very true of Kayla. But they never say anything about the groom. Well, I’m here to tell you that he was absolutely glowing as well. They both exuded love and excitement for this next chapter in their lives.
Often I wonder how my team and I got so lucky in our careers that this is how we get to spend our days. Not only do we get to attend more weddings in one year than most people do in their lifetime. But we get to capture all the special moments and freeze them in time so those moments can be relived over and over and over again. We get to watch love grow. And we get to feel the love that two families share. We get to be a part of the beginning of something amazing! And even though Kayla and Skip’s wedding probably looked a little different than they dreamed it would before the pandemic hit, the love in that room for them as they said their vows was just as strong as it always was.
Cheers! Salud! Prost! Here’s to Kayla & Skip!
We wish only the best for Kayla and Skip as their love continues to grow! So here’s to many more days where Kayla brings that something special that Skip felt when he first met her. And here’s to a lifetime of Skip’s signature “frat-boy haircuts” to remind Kayla of all the things she loves about him.
Many thanks to the vendors for making this event so amazing!
